BUCKHANNON — West Virginia Wesleyan swimming head coach Adam Brumley has announced the official 2020-21 schedule.
The slate features five meets including the MEC/GMAC Championships.
All schedules are contingent upon the ability to conduct sport while adhering to state and local guidelines and COVID-19 surveillance testing at each member institution utilizing NCAA guidelines.
Both Bobcat swimming teams start the season at home by playing host to Davis & Elkins at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 6. Wesleyan welcomes Salem and Alderson Broaddus to Buckhannon the following week on Friday, February 12 with 1 p.m. scheduled start.
Home swimming meets will be streamed live on mountaineast.tv/wvwc.
Next up, WVWC travels to Frostburg State on Saturday, March 6 followed by a dual meet at Fairmont State on March 13.
The MEC/GMAC Championships where both Bobcat squads have had immense success in recent years will be held at C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton, Ohio, March 30-April 2.
The MEC is currently not allowing spectators at winter sports events. The league's Board of Directors will evaluate the policy no earlier than January 19, 2021. Updates on the spectator policy for other sports including swimming will be announced at a later date.
