WVWC lacrosse team drops 16-2 decision to Battlers

BUCKHANNON – The West Virginia Wesleyan lacrosse team dropped a 16-2 decision to Alderson Broaddus in a home Mountain East Conference encounter Saturday afternoon.

Wesleyan failed to score in the first half falling behind by a 10-0 score.

The Lady ‘Cats were down 15-0 before Lauren Bolen put in a pair of goals.

Bolen scored her first goal with 6:43 left in the contest and came back three minutes later with another score to make it a 15-2 game.

Alderson Broaddus wrapped up the scoring with a goal with 36 seconds remaining in the contest.

Lilly Parsons and Brooke Dinehart led Alderson Broaddus with three goals apiece.

The Battlers improved to 3-6 on the season while Wesleyan dropped to 0-8 overall.

They will visit Frostburg State Thursday at 3 p.m. then wrap up their season hosting Charleston Sunday at 1 p.m.
