WVWC lacrosse falls on the road to Davis & Elkins


ELKINS – The West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcat lacrosse team dropped an 18-1 decision to the homestanding Davis & Elkins Senators Sunday afternoon at Nuttall Field.

Davis & Elkins scored 29 seconds into the contest and never looked back.

They built a 12-0 lead before Wesleyan’s lone goal from Victoria Sisson occurred at the 4:45 mark of the first half.

Wesleyan went into the half down by a 14-1 score.

Wesleyan was outscored by a 4-0 margin in the second half.

The Lady ‘Cats managed 10 shots with Sisson getting off four and Makenzi Lewellyn three.

Wesleyan was guilty of 20 turnovers while the Senators committed 16 turnovers.

Davis & Elkins improved to 4-2 on the year.

Wesleyan dropped to 0-6 overall.

They will be back in action Wednesday hosting Notre Dame at 3 p.m.
