WVWC esports team to host tour of facilities this Friday, January 7

BUCKHANNON — This Friday, January 7 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. the West Virginia Wesleyan College’s esports team is hosting middle school students and area media for a tour of their lab. During this event, WVWC esports head coach Ethan Hayes will detail how the college and Upshur County Schools are working in unison to strengthen the sports’ local footprint as well as foster future participation in esports within the community.

The tour will start in the English Annex, where the eSports lab is located. The English Annex is found immediately to the left of the college’s administration building. After the tour, the group will then proceed to the Virginia Thomas Law Center for the Performing Arts for a presentation.  

RSVPs to the event are due by Friday at 10 a.m. and for those planning to attend, a COVID waiver must be filled out online at: https://forms.wvwc.edu/210883682052052. The college also asks those in attendance to please respect and comply with the Universal Indoor Masking Policy currently in place, so plan to mask up when inside the facilities.
