WVWC coaches recognized as Division-II Men’s Soccer National Staff of the Year

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The West Virginia Wesleyan men’s soccer coaching staff was recognized by United Soccer Coaches as the Division-II men’s soccer National Staff of the Year.

United Soccer Coaches recognizes coaching staffs across four divisions from Division-I to NAIA. The award is voted on by coaches at each level.

WVWC men’s soccer is led by head coach Gavin Donaldson as well as volunteer assistants Mike Tenney and Luca Falconieri.

“This award for our staff really is an award that should be shared with every Division-II staff in the country this year," Donaldson said. "No staff deserves it more than anyone. Every staff went through the most unusual year ever. We are over the moon getting recognized for it, but every single soccer staff out there went through all of the changes and uncertainty of this past year. It's thrilling that they named us, but every staff had to do a great job with what they were faced with."

The selected coaching staffs will be honored at the digital College Awards Ceremony available online beginning June 30.
