W.Va. DHHR COVID-19 update – May 9


CHARLESTON — The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) reports as of May 9, 2022, there are currently 1,343 active COVID-19 cases statewide. There have been two deaths reported since the last report, with a total of 6,882 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

“The continued loss of West Virginians weighs heavily on all of us, with the greatest sadness borne by family and friends,” said Bill J. Crouch, DHHR Cabinet Secretary. “Please utilize the vaccine calculator to ensure you are up to date on your COVID vaccine.”
