W.Va. DHHR COVID-19 update – April 8


CHARLESTON — The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) reports as of April 8, 2022, there are currently 358 active COVID-19 cases statewide. There have been 4 deaths reported since the last report, with a total of 6,753 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

“We mourn the loss of these West Virginians and send our deepest sympathies to their loved ones,” said Bill J. Crouch, DHHR Cabinet Secretary. “Vaccines are safe and effective, and if you are eligible, please do your part by scheduling a COVID vaccine and booster.”
