CHARLESTON — On January 15, 2022 @ 2pm, Women’s Health Center of West Virginia in collaboration with Solutions Oriented Addiction Response (SOAR WV) will host a Winter Care Fair in the parking lot of Women’s Health Center at 510 West. Washington Street in Charleston.
The Winter Care Fair will include distribution of donated clothing, food, toiletries, and menstrual products. The fair will also include harm reduction supplies, NARCAN, Plan B, a social worker, a non-denominational spiritual organization, recovery coaches, a hot meal, warm beverages, and more.
From now until Jan 12, 2022, donations will be accepted at the Eastman Center Porch at Unitarian Universalist Congregation located at 520 Kanawha Boulevard West Donatable items include warm clothes, gloves, blankets, hats, scarves, socks, boots, backpacks, sweaters, canvas totes, toiletries, menstrual products, old luggage and old purses. Monetary donations can be made by texting WINTERCARE to 44321. All donations will go directly to the event.
Participating organizations include Cabin Creek Health Systems, Holler Health Justice, Mountain State Justice, Ryan White Program and Planned Parenthood South Atlantic.
