Wolfe charged following January incident

BUCKHANNON — On February 8, Upshur County Magistrate Alan Suder issued a warrant for the arrest of William Thomas Wolfe, age 38 of Buckhannon. This warrant was issued following an incident that occurred back on Monday, January 24.

According to court documentation, back in January, Buckhannon City Police Patrolman Jacob Garrison responded to Cambridge Heights in reference to a domestic. Upon arriving on scene, the patrolman met with the victim and the victim’s mother. The victim stated the defendant, later identified as Wolfe, pushed her to the ground and choked her until she could not breathe. Patrolman Garrison noted the victim had visible marks on her neck.

Additionally, court documents show Wolfe had three prior convictions of domestic battery. Those occurred on Thursday, October 23, 2008, Monday, January 29, 2018 and Friday, October 23, 2020, all of which occurred in Upshur County.

The defendant is currently held at Tygart Valley Regional Jail with a combined bond of $30,000 cash only. The bond is split into $15,000 for domestic battery third offense and $15,000 for strangulation.
