BUCKHANNON — William Kenneth “Hawkeye” Sinclair, 77, of Savory Drive, Buckhannon passed away peacefully at 11:34 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017 in the comfort of his home with family by his side.
He was born in Lost Creek on July 2, 1939 a son of the late Walter Kenneth Sinclair and Freda Merle Greynolds Sinclair.
On June 9, 1999 he married Delores June Sinclair, they celebrated 17 years of marriage before her passing on June 22, 2016, and were reunited in Heaven on their wedding anniversary.
His legacy will be carried on by his two children: William Todd Sinclair Rathbun of Clarksburg, and Sara Shingleton and husband, Dennis, of Shinnston; seven grandchildren: Zackery, Justin, April, and Shyanne Rathbun, Joshua Chrislip, Tyler Shingleton, and Troy Shingleton; one great granddaughter, Audrina Christian; five siblings: Donald Sinclair and wife, Karen, of Clarksburg, Walter Sinclair and wife, Luella, of Buckhannon, Gladys Greynolds of Clarksburg, Phyllis Pansing of Ohio, and Lynn Ellison of Clarksburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Kenny graduated from Unidis High School and was an honored veteran of the United States Army. He worked as an electrician for 50 years and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local No. 596. As an outdoor enthusiast, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and just spending time in nature.
Kenny’s request for cremation has been honored and his family will have a private Celebration of Life Service at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be sent directly to his family c/o Sara Shingleton 691 Tetrick Rd. Shinnston, WV 26431.
