Wesleyan’s Makatlyn Tucker named MEC Women’s Offensive Soccer Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT — West Virginia Wesleyan's Makatlyn Tucker has earned Mountain East Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Wheeling's Jaci Wilson has earned Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Tucker, a junior from Salem, W.Va., had a role in two of WVWC's three goals as the Bobcats defeated Notre Dame, 3-2. She had a goal and an assist in the win over the Falcons.

Wilson, a freshman from Rootstown, Ohio, came up with nine saves in a shutout win over Frostburg State. The shutout was the first of her career and helped Wheeling snap a 22-game losing streak.
