Emily Kroll MEC Female Swimmer of the Week

BRIDGEPORT — Notre Dame's Jayton Jensen and West Virginia Wesleyan's Emily Kroll have earned Mountain East Conference Swimmer of the Week for their performances last week.

Jensen, a freshman from Gilbert, Ariz., picked up three wins over the weekend against Malone. He was a winner in the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle events. His time of 1:51.15 currently ranks fourth-best in the league.

Kroll, a senior from Bridgeport, W.Va., was a winner in both butterfly events in a dual against Salem. She finished the 50 fly with a time of 28.95, which currently ranks as the best time in the league so far this season. She won the 100 fly with a time of 1:05.65.

Men: Michael McAlpine (WVWC) was a winner in the 50 back and the 50 free and was second in the 100 free in a dual against Salem ... Dakota Lewis-Griggs (UU) won the 100 back and 500 free in a dual against Manchester.

Women: Jaybreona Foster (UU) was a winner in the 100 breaststroke and 200 IM last week ... Courtney Deem (FSU) won the 100 and 1500 freestyle events against WVU Tech and Columbia College.
