Wesleyan women’s soccer program announces schedule

BUCKHANNON — West Virginia Wesleyan women's soccer has released the 2020 schedule that will be. The slate features eight matches against Mountain East Conference Competition including four at home.

All MEC schedules are contingent upon the ability to conduct sport while adhering to state and local guidelines and COVID-19 surveillance testing at each member institution utilizing NCAA guidelines. The MEC is splitting women's soccer into two divisions for the spring slate with the Lady Bobcats placed in the Central Division with Alderson Broaddus, Frostburg State and Davis & Elkins.

WVWC opens the season on Sunday, Feb. 28 in Buckhannon against Alderson Broaddus with a scheduled start of 11 a.m. The following week, Wesleyan travels to Frostburg State on Friday, March 5 for its first road contest. The Lady Bobcats return home on Sunday, March 14 to host Davis & Elkins under the lights.

On Sunday, March 21, Wesleyan travels out of the division to take on Notre Dame (Ohio) on the road. A week later, the Lady Bobcats are back at Culpepper Stadium playing host to West Virginia State. Frostburg State heads to Buckhannon on Friday, April 2 for another battle of the Bobcats.

WVWC finishes the season away from home at Alderson Broaddus (April 9) and at Davis & Elkins (April 16).

March 5 — at Frostburg State, 6 p.m.

March 14 — vs. Davis & Elkins, 7 p.m.

March 21 — at Notre Dame (Ohio), 2:30 p.m.

March 28 — vs. West Virginia State, 7 p.m.

April 2 — vs. Frostburg State, 7 p.m.

April 9 — at Alderson Broaddus, 5 p.m.

April 16 — at Davis & Elkins, 7 p.m.
