ELKINS – Arthur Assfeld picked up right where he left off the 2019 season at for the West Virginia Wesleyan men’s swim team.
Despite a near seven-week holiday break from competitive swimming, Assfeld picked up two more individual victories against the Davis & Elkins Senators in the “Battle of the Hills.”
Assfeld on the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.87 and the 200-yard butterfly with a clocking of 2:07.53.
Assfeld had two of the four victories for the Bobcats.
The other individual win went to Marc Bennett in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:06.77.
The 200-yard medley relay foursome picked up the other win for the ‘Cats.
Wesleyan was edged out in the team score by a 116-85 margin.
The will swim again this Saturday hosting Fairmont State at 1 p.m.
