Wesleyan lacrosse team falls to Frostburg State

FROSTBURG (Md.) – The West Virginia Wesleyan lacrosse team suffered a 29-1 setback at the hands of Frostburg State Thursday afternoon at Bobcat Stadium.

Frostburg scored the first 18 goals of the first half before Victoria Sisson put in the final goal of the final goal of the half for Wesleyan making it an 18-1 contest.

Wesleyan was blanked in the second half by an 11-0 margin.

Stephanie King led Frostburg State with eight goals while Cammie Schniedwind had five and Lilly Stephens four.

Faith Hammerbeck made nine saves while Gabrielle Cleaveland made four stops for Wesleyan with Mckenna Shay stopping one for Frostburg State.

Frostburg State improved to 8-4 on the year.

Wesleyan dropped to 0-9.

The Lady Bobcats will close out their season Sunday at home with Charleston.

The contest will begin at 1 p.m.
