BUCKHANNON — A Tuesday afternoon traffic stop near Walmart parking lot resulted in the arrest of a wanted man.
Blaine Allen Ash, age 37, was pulled over by Chief Deputy Mike Coffman on March 16 after the officer reportedly followed the illegal vehicle from Route 20.
When Coffman made contact with the driver and ran his information, he discovered that Ash had active warrants for two felonies and a misdemeanor out of Harrison County. The officer was also quickly able to determine that Ash was driving revoked for DUI.
A search of his vehicle yielded a variety of drugs and Ash was accordingly charged with three counts of possession with intent to deliver controlled substances, as well as felony driving revoked for DUI.
Ash remains at Tygart Valley Regional Jail on the new charges, in addition to the Harrison County offenses.
