W. Va. Professional Women’s Club offers scholarship

BUCKHANNON — The West Virginia Professional Women’s Club of Buckhannon is offering two $500 scholarships to two seniors who will graduate from Buckhannon-Upshur High School in May 2022 and plan to continue their education this fall at a college, university, or technical school. The purpose is to assist two deserving students to pursue his or her career in a chosen field. The students must have a grade point average of at least 3.0 and state their major and what college they plan to attend. They must also write a letter to the club listing their academic achievements during the last four years and may include the applicant’s reason for need of financial assistance. Application forms may be obtained from a guidance counselor at Buckhannon-Upshur High School completed and attached to their correspondence.

Applications are to be mailed to Shelia Thomason Education Committee Chair 190 Circle Drive Buckhannon, W. Va. 26201. Applications must be received by Tuesday, May 10, 2022. Payment for scholarship will be made upon proof of school enrollment.
