TENNERTON – The Buckhannon-Upshur volleyball Lady Bucs made the most of their home opener this past Tuesday in a tri-match with Brooke and Preston.

“It was great to see the girls work together for these two wins,” remarked Buckhannon-Upshur head coach Ashley Stanton. “Reynolds and Currence were vital front row players in these two games leading in kills and blocks.”

During the contests, the Lady Bucs recognized their lone senior on the team, middle hitter McKenzie Reynolds, during a Senior Night ceremony.

“I have had the honor and privilege of coaching Reynolds for five years,” noted Stanton. “It has been wonderful to see her grow not only as an athlete, but as a person. She has a great heart and passion for the game and it shows on the court. I wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”

The pair of wins improved the Lady Bucs to 3-1.

They were slated to play Thursday in a tri-match at North Marion with North Marion and Preston.
