Two soccer Lady ‘Cats earn Scholar All-American honors

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — West Virginia Wesleyan had two players earn Scholar All-America honors in Second Team selection Marissa Zetty and Third Team honoree Natalie Prater.

Zetty is a junior nursing major who holds a 3.89 GPA. She was also a first team All-MEC selection this fall.

Zetty scored four goals and had one assist this past season.

Prater, the MEC Offensive Player of the Year, has a 3.34 GPA majoring in exercise science.

Prater scored eight goals and 13 assists in 21 games to lead the Mountain East Conference in scoring.

Zetty and Prater were also recently named to the United Coaches All-Region Teams for the 2018 Season.

Zetty was named to the First-Team while Prater was named to the Second-Team.

The Lady ‘Cats ended the year 13-2-6 which included a 19-game unbeaten streak that ended in the third round of the NCAA Division II national tournament.
