Two Buckhannon residents among most recent vaccination lottery winners

BUCKHANNON — Local residents Mary Hull and Joyce Rohr were among the most recent winners announced in the fourth prize giveaway of the “Do it for Babydog: Save a life, Change your life” Vaccination Sweepstakes this week.

Hull was announced as a Lifetime Fishing License winner and Rohr was the winner of a Custom Hunting Shotgun in the Week 4 prize giveaways.

Liam Cox, of Weston, was also named as the winner of a full four-year scholarship to any public institution in the state.

The Governor and Babydog dropped in on Riverside High School football practice Wednesday morning and greeted Assistant Coach Thomas Sowers, sharing the exciting news in front of the entire football team that he won a custom-outfitted truck in the sweepstakes.

Gov. Justice and Babydog also presented the keys to a brand-new truck to Grace Fowler, of Nettie, on Wednesday afternoon.

The prizes announced Wednesday also included five lifetime hunting licenses, five lifetime fishing licenses, five custom hunting rifles, five custom hunting shotguns, and 25 weekend getaways to West Virginia State Parks.

All West Virginians who have had at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine can register at for an opportunity to join the list of winners.

Online registration to be eligible to win in the next prize drawing will remain open until Sunday, July 18, at 11:59 p.m. Winners will be announced next Wednesday, July 21.

Additional prize drawings will be held weekly, with winners being announced each Wednesday through August 4.
