BUCKHANNON — The Record Delta has added two experienced advertising professionals at one of the busiest sales times of the year.
John Cale brings five years of sales experience to his new position at The Record Delta.
He attended both Mountain State University and West Virginia University en route to earning a marketing degree.
Originally from the Bruceton Mills in Preston County, Cale served in the U.S. Army— both active and with the Guard.
Prior to moving to Upshur County, Cale was living in Morgantown but said he is happy to be back in a small town.
“The people here remind me of Preston County,” he said. “It’s a good place to raise a family. This is my wife’s home and that’s why I’m here. She brought me here.”
Cale and his wife, Amy, have four children and he can often be found supporting them at one of their sporting events.
As an outside sales representative, Cale spends his days visiting customers and sharing how advertising in one of The Record Delta’s products can enhance that business.
“We offer a quality product for advertising,” Cale said noting The Record Delta’s print edition, value guides and website.
Cale attends South Buckhannon Mission Church where he says he has a great church family.
He also enjoys golf.
Brandi Stevens, also joined the sales staff as an inside advertising representative.
She grew up in Buckhannon before moving to Morgantown as a teenager and then returning to the area to raise her own family.
“I like the small-town feel and safe environment,” she said. “I like the people of Upshur County.”
Stevens and her husband, Bryan, have two children, Berna and Hayden.
“I love to do marketing, sales and advertising,” she said. “I have done it before. I like to meet new people and interact with them. I enjoy getting to know our business owners.”
In her free time, Stevens enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping and taking part in the outdoor activities that the Mountain State offers like camping, four-wheeling and fishing.
Like Cale, Stevens also sells for The Record Delta, value guides and the website.
They can also help customers with getting ads into The Record Delta’s sister publications, The Mountain Statesman in Grafton and The Weston Democrat in Weston expanding the advertising reach.
