Tennis Bobcats stay hot with a 4-0 non-conference over Shaw

BUCKHANNON – West Virginia Wesleyan defeated the Shaw University Bears 4-0 in non-conference men's tennis action here Saturday.

The win was the eighth straight for the streaking Bobcats, who raised their record to 11-5 overall.

Lukas Laipold, Maycon Santos Dias, and Carlos Dodero each won twice on the day with Santos Dias claiming the clinch point with his victory at No. 2 singles.

The match was called once Wesleyan record the fourth win.

The Bobcats were slated to host Fairmont State Sunday.

They will return to action Friday on the road at Bluefield State College and Concord.

They will face Bluefield State at 9:30 a.m. and Concord in a MEC clash at 3:30 p.m.
