Taste and See open for business

BUCKHANNON — Taste and See, Buckhannon’s newest bakery, enjoyed a successful grand opening Saturday afternoon at their 21 Madison Street location.

The family-owned and operated business, run by mother and daughter Michelle and Hanna Taylor, officially opened their doors Friday and had a great turnout. “We had a great day! We’ve had fantastic support, phenomenal support from everyone in Buckhannon,” Owner Michelle Taylor said.

Taste and See has a wide selection of desserts ranging from cakes and cupcakes to cheesecake and brownies. Flavors of cupcakes include carrot cake, vanilla, funfetti, chocolate chocolate, M&M, Oreo and Reese’s peanut butter cup. They also have three-layer homemade carrot cake, pumpkin cheesecake, pecan cheesecake and Oreo brownies.

“My secret is I love to cook. So, when you do what you love, I think people can feel that in the experience,” explained Taylor.

Taste and See also offers a coffee bar with flavored mixes, as well as soups and grab n’ go full meal options like roast beef and pulled pork dinners. Also in the grab n’ go section, they sell full 6-inch double or single layer cakes and cake by the slice. Taste and See even sells custom gift baskets they personally put together.

“We’re just really excited. We’ve had phenomenal support from everyone locally and out-of-county. We look forward to serving the people of Buckhannon and building relationships,” Taylor said.

Visit their shop from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, or noon to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. For more information, visit their Facebook page at https://m.facebook.com/TasteandSee7727/.
