Sutton man arrested after soliciting minor

BUCKHANNON — Randall Wayne White, age 44 of Sutton, has been charged with solicitation of a minor via computer after it was discovered that the defendant had been interacting with a 15-year-old female on Sunday, May 8. The defendant then planned to meet with the female on Thursday, May 19 and was arrested after arriving to the agreed meeting place.

Court records explained that White traveled to North End Park to meet a female, who he knew to be underage and had been communication with via social media. During conversations, the underage female stated that she was 15 years old at least twice and that she was in school, making it known to White.

White also asked the underage female to “make sweet love” after learning she was a virgin and asking if he could perform oral sex on her while they showered together. The initial plan was to meet on Wednesday, May 18 but due to unknown delays, the actual meeting did not occur until at approximately 1 a.m. on Thursday, May 19. White arrived at the meeting place set between him and the juvenile. White also sent a full length photo of himself wearing a Spongebob shirt and W.Va. ball cap during one of the stops he made while traveling from his residence in Braxton County to Upshur County, making identification easy.

Upon arrival, White walked to the meeting place from the parking lot but was intercepted and apprehended by Sergeant Marshall O’Connor. White was mirandized and placed under arrest. The defendant was then taken to Buckhannon Police Department for processing.

At this time, White is being held at Tygart Valley Regional Jail on a $25,000 cash only bond.
