BUCKHANNON — The Southern Upshur Business Association (SUBA) held their annual picnic Wednesday evening in Rock Cave.
The SUBA group has been meeting for many years and continues to work together for the betterment of the southern Upshur area. During the annual picnic and meeting, members discussed future events, including their Christmas Store project to help low-income families within the community experience a wonderful holiday.
SUBA has been collecting donations and will continue to do so until their September meeting. The money will be used to purchase toys, clothing, and essentials for parents to be able to “shop” for their families.
“The Christmas Store is a non-profit organization made up of people from our community that assists our neighbors in need to experience a brighter Christmas,” SUBA President Kevin Campbell said. “We have all seen the statistics on the economy, and now more than ever, we need to continue our tradition of supporting the Christmas Store.”
Donations should be marked for the Buckhannon Upshur Christmas Store and mailed to SUBA, P.O. Box 115 Rock Cave, WV 26234
Watch for future editions of The Record Delta to learn more details about the Christmas Store.
