BUCKHANNON — Stonestreet was the foot tapping, hand clapping musical headliner at Festival Fridays on June 28 in Jawbone Park. Hailing from Charleston, WV, they performed a variety of music that ranged from dance to the Top 40 from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and 2000’s. Festival goers joined in to dance to the tunes, which included the Electric Slide and the Cupid Shuffle.
Known for interacting with their crowd, Stonestreet has been around for over 25 years and has been the opening act for national entertainers such as: Sheena Easton, Michael McDonald, Jefferson Starship, Paul Young, and Blood, Sweat and Tears.
The Tennerton Lions Club was also in attendance selling Applewood smoked pulled pork dinners. They had a pulled pork meal deal for $8 that included a sandwich, potato salad, chips and a drink. The money the club raised goes right back into the community. “We have been doing well raising money for our club here at Festival Fridays,” Treasurer Frank Becker said. “The community has really
come out to support us.” Be sure to look for future meal deal specials from the Tennerton Lion’s Club at Festival Fridays throughout the summer.
