TENNERTON — Stewart Jennings Gould, 90, of Buckhannon, went to be with the Lord Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017 in the Colonial Place at Elkins. Born Aug. 26, 1926 at Cassity, he was the son of the late Wilson Curtis and Delcie Chewning-Gould.
Stewart was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II, former employee for Bethlehem Steel Sparrows Point in Baltimore, Md. with over 35 years of service, and he enjoyed collecting antiques. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard and Truman Gould; two sisters, Joyce Bruno Gould and Jean Meekins Gould.
Survivors include his one brother, Terry E. Gould and wife Susan of Buckhannon; nieces, Carolyn Z. Shell, Michele Wilkerson, Terry Szolis, Lori Gould; nephews, Franklin Gould, Richard Gould and Mark Gould.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017 in the Tomblyn-Clutter Funeral & Cremation 21 Elnora Circle Buckhannon, WV 26201. Interment will follow in the Upshur County Memorial Park with Rev. Frank Spears officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
