St. Joseph’s recognizes Occupational Therapy Month

BUCKHANNON — St. Joseph’s Hospital is recognizing Occupational Therapy Month in April. Occupational therapists are health care professionals who help people resume or maintain participation in a variety of tasks in their jobs, leisure and social activities, getting around, caring for themselves and their home, and much more.

They help people to learn new ways of doing things, regain skills and develop new ones, use materials or equipment that makes life easier, or adapt patients’ environment to work better for them. Their work helps people to do as much as they can safely and effectively. St. Joseph’s Hospital thanks its hard-working occupational therapy staff for their caring and dedication.
