BUCKHANNON — St. Joseph’s Hospital will have testing for COVID available on Labor Day, Monday, September 6, at its testing trailer in front of the hospital.
Testing is available seven days a week: Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are two types of testing. The free state testing does not require a physician’s order and you will receive your results in approximately two business days. If you need results more quickly, a provider’s order is required. Rapid testing is not available.
Results for tests done on Labor Day may experience a slight delay. Patients needing testing are asked to go directly to the trailer and not enter the hospital.
Testing is also available on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Upshur-Buckhannon Health Department located at 15 North Locust Street in Buckhannon. Vaccines are available there by appointment on Wednesdays between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Call (304) 472-2810 to schedule an appointment.
If you have questions about COVID-19, call St. Joseph’s Hospital Nurse Triage Line, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to noon at (304) 473-2161. Labor Day hours for the triage line are 8 a.m. to noon.
