St. Joseph’s Hospital celebrates Surgical Technologist Week

BUCKHANNON — St. Joseph’s Hospital is recognizing its Surgical Technologists during National Surgical Technologist Week, September 18 through 24. This week has been designated by the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) to celebrate and honor the profession. It began by a resolution adopted by the AST Board of Directors in 1984. This week recognizes the hard work that they do in the operating room to ensure patient safety and operating efficiency. “Our Surgical Technologists ensure that our surgery patients receive the best and safest care in the operating room,” said Skip Gjolberg, President and CEO of St. Joseph’s Hospital. “We thank them for their hard work and dedication to the mission of St. Joseph’s Hospital to provide quality healthcare to our community.”
