Soccer Little Bucs blank West Fairmont, 4-0


TENNERTON – The Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School Little Buc soccer team built a 3-0 first-half lead and cruised in the second half as they downed West Fairmont by a 4-0 score in a soccer match Monday evening at the middle school.

Camdin Carpenter put the Little Bucs on the scoreboard first in the 15th with a goal with the assist going to Christian Dowell.

Five minutes later, Jackson Davis got into the scoring act upping the Little Buc lead to 2-0.

Dowell was again credited with the assist.

Dowell played a pass from Carpenter and scored the third first-half goal for Buckhannon-Upshur in the 23rd minute.

The lone score of the second half belonged to Dowell who tallied an unassisted goal in the 33rd minute.

The Little Bucs owned a 19-4 lead in shots.

Carter Zuliani turned away four shots in the shutout win for Buckhannon-Upshur.

The win lifted the Little Bucs to 4-0 on the season.

They were slated to host Mountaineer Middle  Wednesday night. They will return to the pitch Monday hosting Robert L. Bland at 7:30 p.m.
