TENNERTON – In a battle between two of the top teams in the Big 10 Conference, nothing was settled after 80 minutes of high school soccer Thursday night when the Buckhannon-Upshur Lady Bucs hosted the East Fairmont Bees.
The two teams battled to a 1-1 draw.
The tie left East Fairmont with an 8-2-1 record overall and 5-1-1 in the Big 10 while Buckhannon-Upshur is now 7-2-1 overall and 6-0-1 in the conference.
The lone Lady Buc goal went to Cameron Zuliani in the 29th minute of the first half.
A ball was deflected off Ashley Caitlin to Zuliani who teed up and drilled a rocket shot past East Fairmont keeper Kayla Black.
East Fairmont tied the game in the second half in the 52nd minute.
Kierstyn Maxey played a cross to Rylee Church who found the back of the net deadlocking the game.
Neither team could find the goal the final 28 minutes of the contest.
The Lady Bucs owned an 8-2 margin in shots-on-goal and corner kicks.
B-U keeper Kyndal Davis made one save in net while Black turned away seven shots for the Bees.
The Lady Bucs will face Greenrbier East today at 11 a.m.
They will remain on the road Tuesday visiting Clarksburg
for a contest against Robert C. Byrd at 8 p.m.
