Soccer Bucs declaw Cougars as they run away with a 12-0 victory in Big 10 action

SHINNSTON – It was open season on the Lincoln Cougar nets for the Buckhannon-Upshur soccer Bucs in their Big 10 Conference battle Thursday evening.

The Bucs scored early and often in a 12-0 romp over the Cougars to improve their record to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the Big 10.

“We executed every phase of the game very well tonight,” remarked Buckhannon-Upshur head coach Mike Donato. “We challenged each of our players throughout the course of the game with technical and tactical aspects to improve on. Things from touches, switching fields, passes to certain areas of the field, set piece movement, we wanted to see guys step to the challenge to improve on these things. I was happy to see better execution of our set pieces and throws, but there will still some small things we discussed that still need improvement. Overall a great team win.”
