See who’s who in the Strawberry Festival Parade


BUCKHANNONThe Record Delta has provided this summary of pageant winners so when you are enjoying the events you will be able to recognize the royalty on the floats as they gracefully wave at you along Strawberry Lane.

Winners from the 80th Annual West Virginia Strawberry Festival Queens Pageant received their titles on Saturday, March 5. They will be happily waving at all the parade visitors during the Grand Feature Parade. In the Junior Teen Division: Queen Madison Burnside, First Maid Nola Riley and Second Maid Katie Anna Hitt. In the Teen Division: Queen Cadence Ringer, First Maid NinaMae Coberly and Second Maid Grace Snider. In the Ms. Division is Queen Susie Potter. In the Mrs. Division is Queen Kari Park and First Maid Ruthann Nuzum. The West Virginia Strawberry Festival Queen is Kelsey Hill, First Maid Jenna Biggs and Second Maid Kendyll Marshall. Additionally, the 2022 West Virginia Strawberry Festival King Elect is Franklin Bush Jr.

The following weekend on Saturday, March 12 was the Junior Royalty Pageant. Winners include in Boys aged 4 to 5, Jedidiah Vance took the titles for Most Photogenic, Strawberry Spirit and Junior Prince. In Girls aged 4 to 5, Lacey Loudin won Most Photogenic and Gracen Leigh Durst took title of Strawberry Spirit and Junior Princess, while Seranitee Paige Howard won Second Maid and Ava Woods won First Maid.

In Boys aged 6 to 7, Trenton Charles Smith took titles for Most Photogenic and Junior Prince. In Girls aged 6 to 7, Delilah Spencer won Most Photogenic and First Maid, Jayleeigh Lynn McCune won Second Maid and Addalynne Stewart won Junior Princess.

In Boys aged 8 to 9, Michael Wayne Jones took the titles of Most Photogenic and Junior Prince. In Girls aged 8 to 9, Mia Beth Park won Most Photogenic and Junior Princess, while Avery Fox took title of Second Maid and Madyson Michelle Ertel took the title of First Maid.

In Girls aged 10 to 11, Olivia Pool won Most Photogenic and title of First Maid and Madison Paige Cutright took the title of Second Maid, while Rayleigh Westfall won title of Junior Princess.

In Girls aged 12 to 13, Channing Gillum took titles of Most Photogenic and Junior Queen, while Audrey Elizabeth Marie Starcher won Second Maid and Natalie Miller won title of First Maid.

In addition, Queens and Junior Royalty from 2021 may be seen as well. Those include 2021 Strawberry Festival Queen Caylie Simmons and Teen Queen Madison Stellato. Charli Crandall served as 2021 Queen’s First Maid, while the 2021 Teen Queen’s First Maid Jenna Biggs and Second Maid was Ava Warner.

For Junior Royalty in Girls aged 4 to 5, Avery Glaspell was named Princess. Brynn Smith was named First Maid, and Jayleeigh McCune was named Second Maid, as well as Most Photogenic. In Boys aged 4 to 5, Foster Crews was named Prince and Most Photogenic. Keaton Hilliard won the Spirit Award and First Page.

In Girls aged 6 to 7, Ava Beth Hinkle was named Princess. Tegwin Louise McMillian was named First Maid and Most Photogenic. Harper Crews was named Second Maid.

In the Girls aged 8 to 9, Alexis Terranova was named Princess. Karly Hilliard was named First Maid and Madison Cutright was named Second Maid and Most Photogenic. In Boys aged 8 to 9, Cooper Crews was named Prince and Most Photogenic.

In Girls aged 10 to 11, Tatum Hulver was named Princess and Most Photogenic. Liliana Delaney was named First Maid and Taylor Lynch was named Second Maid.

In the Queen division, Madison Burnside was named 2021 W. Va. Strawberry Festival Junior Royalty Queen and Most Photogenic. Reagan Sisk was named First Maid and Isabella Kelley was named Second Maid.
