BUCKHANNON — Rhonda Sue Summers, 59, of Volga passed away on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018 after a brief stay at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.
She was born in Harrison County on Dec. 29, 1959 a daughter of Paul Francis Richards Sr. and the late Ruth Virginia Edgell.
Fate finally brought Rhonda and John Mark Summers together in 2011 after knowing each other since they were children.
Rhonda is survived by her father, husband, and step mother, Kathleen Richards; one daughter: Gail Campbell of Clarksburg; five grandchildren: Letha, Amanda, and Harley Ables, and Chloe and Jacob Lyons; one great grandchild: Harley James; one sister Kathleen Bryant of Cabel County; and her beloved Cocker Spaniel and Chihuahua mix, Cosmo.
In addition to her mother, Rhonda was preceded in death by one son, Dale Campbell Jr.; and one sister, Cheryl Richards.
Rhonda worked in construction and was Baptist by faith. She enjoyed writing, especially journalism, and was handy with a paintbrush. Many times Rhonda could recreate beautiful scenery, she had seen, in her paintings.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made directly to Tomblyn-Clutter Funeral & Cremation located at 21 Elnora Circle in Buckhannon, WV 26201 to aid the family with final expenses.
Rhonda’s request for cremation has been honored and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
