Republican Executive Committee celebrates state’s 158th Birthday

BUCKHANNON — The Upshur County Republican Executive Committee held a celebration for West Virginia’s 158th Birthday on Monday at the Courthouse plaza.

Senator Robert Karnes joined members of local law enforcement, along with other public officials and their families to celebrate West Virginia Day with cake and refreshments.Committee Chairperson Patty Adams spoke of the day, “The turnout was very good for the short notice, and it was a really nice time. We have this every year; however, this year it fell on Father’s Day.”

Committee members Charlotte Lewis, Patty Adams and Doug Roberts were also in attendance. The Upshur County Republican Executive Committee would like to thank Lorretta Koone for helping to take care of so many things on the day of the celebration.
