Rain puts a damper on Blast from the Past

BUCKHANNON — The first night of the Blast from the Past featured classic cars lining Main Street from the courthouse intersection to city hall. The West Virginia Classic Wheels Car Club puts on the annual car cruise-in on Friday night in conjunction with Festival Fridays, which featured entertainment in Jawbone Park. The second day of the event, Saturday, did not fair as well as strong thunderstorms with lightening hovered over Buckhannon and forced the cancellation of the show and the car club’s sponsored entertainment, oldies band DeJaVu. The club’s next big event will be its annual Labor Day show at North Buckhannon Riverfront Park.
