CORNING, N.Y. — Patsy Marie Satterfield, 73, of Buckhannon, W.Va. went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 21, 2017. Patsy was born on Dec. 8, 1943 in Yuba City, Calif. She is the daughter of the late Hestle Carlton and Josephine (Timms) Smith. She married Doyle Guy Satterfield in Yuba City, Calif. in 1962. She was predeceased by her husband in 2012.
She was an independent tax preparer for many years in Buckhannon, for the family business and other private clients. Patsy was the most loyal best friend, especially to her daughter Diana and grandchildren Jacob and Holley. Patsy was also an avid traveler and frequently visited her family in Yuba City, Calif. and Bath, N.Y. She adored her family above all else. Doyle and Patsy enjoyed their extensive property and country home in West Virginia. She also loved her two small dogs Ruby and Dolly who will miss her dearly.
She is survived by one daughter: Dr. Diana L. Satterfield of Bath, N.Y.; her mother Josephine (Timms) Smith of Yuba City, Calif.; three grandchildren: Jacob Satterfield Kuver, of Pittsburgh, Pa., Holley Satterfield Kolodziejczak, of Bath, N.Y., Christina Riley, of Buckhannon; great-grandchildren, Kendra Riley and Keyara Riley, of Buckhannon; brother, Carlton Smith, of Yuba City, Calif. and sister, Laura Williams, of Yuba City, Calif. as well as many other loving family members and friends.
In addition to her husband, Patsy was predeceased by her son, Stanley Satterfield.
