BRIDGEPORT — West Virginia Wesleyan's Kay Lange has been named Mountain East Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Week, and WVWC's Michael McAlpine was selected as the league's Men's Simmer of the Week.

Lange, a senior from Hannover, Germany, posted a pair of wins over the weekend. She took first in the 500 free with a time of 5:45.17, and doubled up with a win in the 1,000 free with a time 11:28.39.

McAlpine, a senior from Brooklyn, N.Y., also notched a pair of wins in distance free over the weekend. He finished first in the 500 free with a time of 5:15.13 and then was first in the 1,000 free with a time of 10:59.22.
