Opal K. Lipps, age 73, of Rock Cave, W.Va., died Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at her home. She was born in Buckhannon on June 12, 1949, a daughter of the late Richard Charles and Kathleen Sophia Roth Lewis. On June 18, 1972, she was united in marriage to Ralph G. Lipps, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters: Olivia and husband Kelly Winkle, of Georgetown, Ky., and Kathy Bryan, of Rock Cave; three grandchildren: Daniel and Heidi Bryan, and Sarah Winkle; two sisters: Deborah Sayre, of Pickens, and Denease Lewis, of Helvetia; and one brother, Steven Lewis and wife Melissa, of Selbyville.
Opal had been employed by the W.Va. Wildlife Center in French Creek for 25 years and was an avid gardener.
The family will receive friends at the Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel on Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 10 to 11 a.m., the funeral hour, with Pastor David Jessie officiating.
