No injuries reported in wreck at Walmart

Driver damaged three parked cars

BUCKHANNON — No one was injured in a rear-end type collision involving four vehicles that happened Tuesday afternoon in the Walmart parking lot. The accident happened at 3:18 p.m. when a 2016 Volvo S60 driven by Mary Alice Ward-Bragg, 86, of Roanoke, attempted to pull her vehicle into an empty parking space near the front of Row 5. She accidentally accelerated instead of braking and caused a domino-effect rear-end-type collision, according to the accident report filed by Sgt. Tom Posey with the Buckhannon Police Department. Ward-Bragg’s vehicle struck a Ford F150 owned by Allen W. Blevins of Montrose, which in turn rear-ended a Lexus RX300 owned by Barbara or David Baxa. The impact caused the Lexus to strike a 2005 Subaru Outback owned by Lori Ann Wood of South Charleston. None of the three parked vehicles were occupied. Posey did not issue any citations.
