TENNERTON — Neva I. Anderson, 96, of the Brushy Fork community, and formerly of Hacker Valley, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018. She was born on Sept. 28, 1921, in Wheeler, a daughter of the late Henry Gilbert and Iona Isabelle Anderson McMillion. On May 5, 1941, she was united in marriage to Coy Luther Anderson, who preceded her in death in November 1985. She is survived by one son Krell Anderson and wife Carolyn of Amherst, Ohio; one daughter Norma Myers of Buckhannon; two foster daughters: Sharon and Christine; two foster sons: James and Danny; four grandchildren: Kristen and husband Nick Donofrio, Brian Myers and wife Rachel, Travis Myers, Sharon and husband Marty Casto; 12 great-grandchildren: Kara and Chad Casto, Kalee, Nicholas, and Nathan Donofrio, Mitchell Myers and wife Stormy, Clayton and Sophia Hunter, Kayla Wagner, and Jade, Shawn and Mercy Myers; and one great great-grandson Grayson Myers. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Anderson was also preceded in death by one brother Maynard McMillion; one foster son Chester; and one grandson Kevin Anderson.
Mrs. Anderson was a loving mother and grandmother who especially doted on her great-great-grandson. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church at Hacker Valley and was an avid quilt maker.
The family will receive friends at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the funeral hour, with Rev. Robert F. Heavner officiating.
