WESTON — Kevin Stalnaker, Chief Administrative Officer for Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital and Senior Vice President for Mon Health System has been named one of 52 leaders from across the state to participate in the 2022 class of Leadership West Virginia.
Leadership West Virginia is a statewide program to develop, strengthen and connect emerging leaders for the Mountain State. During training, participants enhance their personal leadership skills and enrich their knowledge of not only the problems facing the state, but also of its diverse and unique attributes.
“I am a graduate of Leadership WV ’98,” said Robin Poling, Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital Board Chair. “This professional education program is one of the most rewarding and useful of the commitments that I have made in my career. The network of professionals across the state are the movers and shakers in their industries. The content of each session is current and relevant to each participant in some capacity. I am thrilled that Kevin was chosen for this opportunity, and I am confident that Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital will benefit from his participation.”
The cultivation of new leadership is of utmost importance to West Virginia’s future prosperity and progress. Leadership West Virginia works to develop and motivate a cross-section of leaders who will use their talent and abilities to inspire others and to foster a new spirit of energy, enthusiasm, and vitality throughout the state.
“Class participants were selected from a list of well-qualified applicants and were chosen because they demonstrate outstanding leadership skills and experiences in their professional careers and civic and community activities,” said Pam Farris, Executive Director of Leadership West Virginia.
As interest in the program grows, the competition does, too, according to Farris.
“We continue to see a large number of diverse applicants each year, all with various professional and civic experiences, making our selection process a challenging but rewarding one,” Farris said.
The 2022 class will travel to various communities across West Virginia to provide a broad-based education and learning experience on critical topics and industry issues facing the state, its employers, and others.
“Leadership WV provides graduates with the skills and knowledge to support them in making sound, informed business decisions,” Farris said. “It is our hope that they will apply what they’ll learn in their communities and in support of LWV’s mission to grow, engage and mobilize others to ignite a lifelong passion to move West Virginia forward.”
