Mon Health SJMH hosts award ceremony

WESTON — During the 37th Annual Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Awards Ceremony, Chief Administrative Officer Kevin Stalnaker honored employees for years of service and named the 2021 Employee of the Year as Certified Nursing Aide, Angela Hinter. The ceremony was held on Thursday, April 7 at the Hospital.

“Angela is the epitome of what we all aspire to for a patient care provider - calm in the face of crisis (big or small), and she cares for our patients in a most considerate way,” Stalnaker noted. “She is counted on by our employees and patients alike – always, and I mean always, making our patients more comfortable in their times of need.”

He continues, “Angela has the qualities I want to be known for as a person. She is compassionate, kind and extraordinarily dependable. She answers any and all calls – her patient or someone else’s. She works wherever her patients need her, whenever her patients need her, including her days off if needed. That is extraordinary for a mother of two, but when you are training those young ladies to be a great person, those are the types of examples you need to set. She sets them well and is a great mother, employee and person.”

Hinter was named after a vote by employees. She is a graduate of Gilmer County High School and received her training at the Sunbridge Nursing Home in Gilmer County. She lives in Gilmer County with her two daughters, Hannah and Cassie.
