BUCKHANNON — Michelle “Shelly” Roberta Moore, 56, of Buckhannon passed away at 4:01 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 13,

Her strong, fun-loving nature will be carried on by her three children: Miranda Triplett and husband, Brandon, Adam Moore and wife, Deann, and Andrew Moore and girlfriend, Carrie Cottrill, all of Buckhannon; 11 grandchildren who will dearly miss their “Nanny”: Brodie, Branson, Brooks, Breckin and Brynn Triplett, Brayden and Avery Moore, Nakiah and Halie Green and Zoe and Noah Thomas; one sister, Charlene Bennett and husband, Larry, of Cedar Hills, Tenn.; 10 nieces; three nephews; several great-nieces and nephews; uncle, Robert Johnston of Weston; one feline friend, Murphy; three canine companions: Boomer, Gunner and Lucy; and her snuggle bunny rabbit, Stewie.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Robert and Dora Johnston; and her brother, Michael Adam Pickens.
Shelly was a loving and devoted homemaker and a good ‘ole country girl who loved being outdoors. She could often be found working in the yard, tending to her vegetable or flower gardens, or canning her special recipes of apple butter, salsa, pickles or tomatoes. Her fondest memories were of the countless weeks spent at Audra State Park, camping with her family, digging ramps for their fresh caught fish, and playing with her grandchildren who brought her great pride and joy.
Friends and family will gather at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service at 144 Hackers Creek Rd. in Jane Lew from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017. Funeral Services will follow at 1 p.m. from the Pat Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Rod Heckert officiating. Interment will follow in the Reger Cemetery in Hodgesville.
