MGA dominates at Spring into States meet

DELMONT Pa. — Gymnasts from Mountain Gymnastics Academy brought back 12 gold, 4 silver and 17 bronze medals to central West Virginia from their performance at the Spring into States meet on April 23 and 24 in Delmont, Pa. 

Xcel Bronze level gymnast Addisyn Grubb from Buckhannon took first on vault, uneven bars, floor and all-around. Gabby Garner of Beverly placed second on vault and beam and came in third all-around. The Xcel Bronze team won second place overall. 

In the Xcel Silver division, L Raschella of Buckhannon placed first on vault. The Xcel Silver Team won third place overall. 

Xcel Gold level gymnast Emily Tesar of Elkins came in second on vault and third all-around. Allison Judy also placed third all-around in her age group. The Xcel Gold team won second place overall. 

Platinum level gymnast Lily Hayes of Elkins placed first on bars, beam and all-around. 

In the Xcel Diamond division, Emma Sharp of Montrose placed second on bars and third overall. 

In the Junior Olympic Level 7 division, Channing Gillum of Elkins came in first on vault, bars, floor and all-around.
