Mary “Mickey” Tarley

Mary “Mickey” Tarley, 83 of Bridgeville, Pa., passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022 in St. Clair Hospital. She was born August 25, 1939 in Buckhannon, W.Va., a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Haymond Burr.

Mickey was a 1958 graduate of Buckhannon High School. A homemaker, Mickey loved spending time with her family and cheering along her grandchildren in sports. She lived a wonderful life, loved by everyone.

On November 26, 1959, she married the love of her life, John Tarley, with who she shared 63 years of an unbreakable and unshakable marriage. It was a bond of love and respect, few will ever match.

Surviving are four children: John Tarley Jr. (Sue), of Williamsburg, W.Va., Joe Tarley (Cindy), of Deemston, Pa., Tina Miller (Mark), of Clarksville, Pa., and Jerry Tarley (Connie), of Elkins, W.Va.; three siblings: Jim Burr, of Adrian, W.Va., Martha Landis, of French Creek, W.Va., and Joann Samples, of French Creek, W.Va.; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death is daughter Penny Tarley and her three brothers: Allen Burr, Martin Burr and Charles Burr Jr.

Friends were received Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 3 to 7 p.m., at the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, located at 2830 Main St. Beallsville, Pa. Funeral services were held on Friday at 10 a.m., with Pastor Sheldon Barnette officiating. Interment followed at Beallsville Cemetery.
