TENNERTON — Mary Ann Houston, 77, of Buckhannon, passed away and went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 25, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family and friends. Born July 13, 1939 in Buckhannon, she was the daughter of the late Egbert and Myrtle Tenney Perry.
She is also preceded in death by her husband, John William Houston; a grandson, little James Kelley; one sister, Anna Martha Landis; two brothers, Richard and Charles Perry; two daughters, Betty Salazar and Alyce Trenz. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, attended Calvary Baptist Church, loved plastic canvas, fishing and reading.
Survivors include her three daughters, Wilma Chackan, of Acme, Pa., Mary Agnes Kelley and companion Todd, of Adrian, Tracy Dean Lane and husband Matthew, of Walkersville; three sons, William Gene Houston and wife Cathy, of Phoenix City, Ala., Ricky Wayne Houston, of Buckhannon, and Chester C. Houston and wife Ranae, of Buckhannon; one sister Virginia Lemons and husband Gary, of Buckhannon; four brothers, Eddie Perry, of Buckhannon, Larry Perry of Georgia, David Perry of Buckhannon, and Emanuel Perry of Clarksburg; 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; one aunt, Annie McCue of Adrian; and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Mary’s wishes she will be cremated and memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday April 1,2017 , in the Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Tallman officiating.
