Margaret Agatha (Bull) Fetty


Margaret Agatha (Bull) Fetty passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022 under the compassionate care of the staffs of Serenity Care Home and West Virginia Hospice. She was born in Weston on April 17, 1939, a daughter of the late Opha and Susie (Alkire) Bull, of Walkersville.

She married the only man she ever dated, John N. Fetty, Sr. on July 16, 1961. He preceded her in death on June 10, 2018. She was preceded in death by a younger son, Jim Fetty, and a sister, Patty Adams.

Margaret is survived by two children: a daughter, Annette Santilli and husband, Sam, of Philippi, and a son, John Fetty, Jr and wife, Karen, of Flemington; four grandchildren: John III (JT) Fetty and wife, Hannah, of Vicenza, Italy, Tyler Fetty, of Flemington, Stephanie Santilli, of Philippi, and Isaac Fetty, of Buckhannon; a brother, Dr. James Bull and wife, Janie, of Brandon, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was Salutatorian for the Class of 1957 from Walkersville High School and attended West Virginia Business College. Margaret worked in the Harrison County Extension Office, where she met John. Together, they started Fetty’s Repair Service in 1978, which is run currently by John Jr.

Her main priority in life was taking care of her husband and her family. Margaret was leader of the Tennerton Teamworkers 4-H Club for 25 years and was a 4-H All Star. She also served as Sunday school teacher at the Ireland United Methodist Church.

Margaret loved watching the WVU Mountaineers Basketball teams. She collected Longaberger baskets, bells, strawberries and Hallmark ornaments. Margaret enjoyed decorating Christmas trees and always had many Christmas trees around her home. She also enjoyed entering the Strawberry Festival Recipe Contest each year.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to the Fetty Family Scholarship, mailed to Upshur County 4-H Foundation, 91 West Main Street, Suite 102, Buckhannon, W.Va., 26201.

Friends and family will gather at Clutter Funeral and Cremation, located at 21 Elnora Circle in Buckhannon, from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 in the Clutter Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ed McDaniels officiating. Interment will follow at Upshur County Memorial Park in Tennerton.

Immediately following the service will be luncheon at the Christian Fellowship Church at 56 Fellowship Way, Buckhannon, W.Va.
