Man faces multiple drug charges


BUCKHANNON — A man who was wanted in Lewis County was arrested early Tuesday morning with drugs, cash and a loaded firearm.
Caleb Daugherty, 20, was stopped near the Colonial Motel by Deputy Seth Cutright, who knew Daugherty was wanted in Lewis County for multiple felony capias, according to a press release from the Upshur County Sheriff’s Department. During the stop, officers found multiple bags of what appeared to be methamphetamine and multiple pills believed to be Percocet and LSD. Daugherty also had a loaded .380 caliber handgun concealed in the small of his back and a substantial amount of cash, according to the release.
Daugherty has been arrested for five felonies: possession with intent to deliver Percocet 30 mg, possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, conspiracy of possession with intent to deliver Percocet 30 mg, conspiracy of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and being a prohibited person in possession of a concealed firearm.
Daugherty is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail but had not been arraigned by The Record Delta press deadline Tuesday.
